Part of a global banking organisation, this Employee Benefits, Actuarial Consultancy and Administration business employ over 1,500 employees through a network of offices and affiliates. With over 30 years experience in the provision and implementation of Employee Benefits, they have offices all over the UK and currently seek a senior pension’s administrator for their Manchester office.
Administering corporate pension schemes in accordance with contracts to the required standards and deadlines, you will be required to carry out pension’s administration tasks. These calculations will include calculating retirement quotes, transferring in and out, leavers/deaths/new entrants/pension increases and renewals/benefit statements. As a Senior Administrator you will supervise staff and delegate tasks effectively, as well as checking and signing others work.
Other responsibilities include the management of pensioner payrolls, management of trustee bank accounts and ensuring client work is processed in a timely manner by logging post in and out. Furthermore, it will be your responsibility to ensure that work is completed within the target dates set, deal with non-standard client/member queries and assist in the training of team members. You will deal with day to day client responsibility under guidance and ensure timesheets are completed in a timely manner.
Ideally QPA/PMI or willing to study, you will have extensive experience of defined benefit, defined contribution and CARE pension scheme administration, preferably in a third-party environment. The ideal candidate will be analytical, have a logical approach to problem solving, be able to prioritise workload and keep to strict deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills are also necessary as you will be expected to motivate, team build and lead pensions administrators, whilst communicating effectively with colleagues and clients.
Computer literate in the use of Office Systems, e.g. Microsoft Office for word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentations is essential for this role. It is also highly desirable to have experience of time recording and charging to clients.
